Each February, the Kansas Dental Association holds the KDA Drawing and Class Project Contests to celebrate National Children's Dental Health Month (NCDHM).

Gift cards are given to the winners, as a way to say thank-you to the third grade teachers and school nurses for promoting good dental health in the classroom. 

The KDA Council on Children's Dental Health scores each Class Project Contest entry, and the top 3 projects advance to the KDA Annual Meeting, where the General Assembly (made up of all KDA member dentists) vote to determine the placement of the winners. 

First place winners receive a $500 gift card; second place winners receive a $250 gift card; and third place winners receive a $100 gift card.
