๐ŸŒŸ The Role: As a Staff Dentist / General Practice Residency (GPR) Faculty, you'll provide exceptional general dentistry services in an outpatient hospital clinic while mentoring and supervising GPR residents. You'll play a key role in shaping the next generation of dentists, guiding them through complex procedures, sedation dentistry, and operating room protocols.

๐Ÿฆท What Youโ€™ll Do:

โœ… Deliver high-quality dental care to patients of all agesโ€”from toddlers to seniors

โœ… Mentor and instruct GPR residents, ensuring excellence in clinical skills and professionalism

โœ… Provide IV sedation and Operating Room dental services while training residents in best practices

โœ… Participate in GPR program curriculum development, didactic seminars, and accreditation efforts

โœ… Be a trusted resource for residents and staff dentists, offering expert guidance and consultation

โœ… Provide 24-hour โ€œsecond callโ€ coverage in support of on-call dental residents (on rotation)

โœ… Collaborate with physicians, dental specialists, and healthcare teams for patient referrals and comprehensive care

โœ… Contribute to quality improvement, patient safety, and community service initiatives

๐Ÿ›  What You Bring to the Table:

๐Ÿ”น D.D.S. or D.M.D. degree and an active Missouri Dental License

๐Ÿ”น 4-5 years of clinical experience (hospital-based or GPR experience preferred)

๐Ÿ”น Strong mentorship and leadership skills to support and develop dental residents

๐Ÿ”น Ability to communicate effectively with patients, residents, physicians, and staff

๐Ÿ”น Experience with IV sedation and OR dentistry (preferred)

๐Ÿ”น Active DEA and MO BNDD certifications

๐Ÿ”น Membership in UH/TMC Medical Staff
