New CDT 2017 Available Now, Features 11 New Codes
Apr 8, 2024
With new CDT codes going into effect Jan. 1, it’s important to have a happy new year. To many dental practices, that means a year with no rejected insurance claims.
Help is here.
The ADA released CDT 2017: Dental Procedure Codes on Aug. 30, a revised edition that features 11 new codes, five revised codes and one deleted code.
The ADA also released a completely overhauled CDT 2017 Coding Companion: Help Guide for the Dental Team and the CDT Code Check for iOS and Android.
CDT 2017 is the most up-to-date coding resource and the only Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act-recognized code set for dentistry. Coding correctly can help reduce claims rejection and increase reimbursement levels.
The newly revised CDT 2017 Coding Companion: Help Guide for the Dental Team includes more than 150 coding scenarios and Q-and-A to help train staff on the intricacies of dental coding. Now organized by coding category, the Companion is written by dental industry leaders, including coding consultants, insurance administrators and practicing dentists who guide the reader step by step through key coding concepts, scenarios, and Q-and-A.
The CDT Code Check App makes CDT codes easily portable and searchable.
All three products are bundled as the CDT 2017 and Companion Kit with Code Check App, $85 for members or $127.50 for nonmembers. CDT products are also sold individually, as e-Books, or in other bundles.
CDT products can be ordered by visiting ADAcatalog.org or calling 1-800-947-4746.
Readers can save 15 percent until Oct. 31 on all ADA Catalog items with promo code 16129.
